
| Ken Steffen Jr. | Executive Chef/Owner Executive Chef/Owner Ken Steffen began his career while still in high school at two famous Santa Cruz restaurants, the Crows Nest and Shadowbrook. While in college, he cooked at the Hard Rock in La Jolla. After working as Executive Chef in his hometown of Los Gatos for Steamers Fish and Pasta, his passion for snow skiing and water skiing brought him to Squaw Valley to work in the 5-Star Resort at Squaw Creek. There he developed his skills at cooking over a wood fired grill. In 1996 Ken opened California Grill & Rotisserie with his father, fulfilling the dream of owning his own restaurant. Ken has perfected the art of cooking over a wood-fired grill and has taught this art to his cooks. |
